Community outreach
The Light Christian Academy is located in the heart of a community of fishermen, daily labourers and other families living under a great deal of financial strain. Many surrounding communities face a similar situation, where they have no access to clean drinking water or medical help, and lack even enough resources to meet their daily needs.
Over the years many groups from the US, the Faroe Islands and Iceland have visited The Light Christian Academy, where they also reached out to the surrounding communities to provide clean drinking water facilities, medical assistance and help in any other way that made the lives of children and their families a little better. Some pictures are shown here of what has been done to help the surrounding communities. The management is committed to providing such help to more communities in the future as well.
